General
BillBabu is a GST billing app for Indian shops and small businesses. You can make GST invoices, estimates and purchase bills, keep stock, record payments from your parties and see sales and GST reports.
A new account starts with a 14-day free trial and you do not need a card to begin. After the trial you need a paid plan to make new bills; the bills you already made stay in your account. There is no free-forever plan.
Current plan prices, monthly and yearly, are on the pricing page at billbabu.com/pricing. The price shown in the app when you buy is the price you pay.
No. If you can use a smartphone you can use BillBabu: sign in with your mobile number, add your business name, pick a customer and items, and the bill is ready.
The account supports more than one business, each with its own parties, items and bills. Switching between businesses in the mobile app is coming.
BillBabu is an Android app on Google Play, and it also works in a web browser on a laptop or desktop with the same login. There is no iPhone app yet.

Billing & GST
Yes. BillBabu works out the tax from each item's GST rate and splits it into CGST and SGST for a same-state sale or IGST for an other-state sale, from the place of supply. You can add HSN or SAC codes to your items.
You can choose from 5 invoice designs (Classic, Modern, Minimal, Professional and Ledger) and put your business logo and bank details on the bill.
Not yet. The app works in Hindi and five other languages, but bills print in English.
Yes. Open the bill, tap share and send the PDF on WhatsApp, email or any other app on your phone.
You can use BillBabu without a GSTIN, but the bill is printed with the title 'Tax Invoice'. If you are not registered for GST, check with your CA before giving these bills to customers.
BillBabu checks that a GSTIN has the correct format when you add a party. It does not look the number up on the GST portal.
Data & Security
Your bills are saved to your account on our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, not only on your phone. You sign in with an OTP sent to your mobile number.
No. BillBabu needs an internet connection to make and save bills.
You do not need to back up anything yourself. Bills are saved to your account, so when you sign in on a new phone or on the web you find them there.
Not yet. BillBabu does not have separate staff logins or roles; the account belongs to the mobile number that signed up.
Yes. You can share the sales report, purchase report, monthly GST report and any party ledger as a PDF. Excel export is not available yet.
