Billing software for mobile shops
BillBabu App makes GST bills for mobile phone shops on your Android phone: phones, accessories and repairs, with stock and customer dues. You can type the IMEI on the bill line so it appears on the customer's bill, but BillBabu App does not keep stock by IMEI or let you search an IMEI later. Start free, no card needed; unlimited bills need Pro (paid).

Who it is for
Mobile phone shops that sell phones, accessories and repairs and are registered for GST. Make the bill on your Android phone, share the PDF with the customer on WhatsApp, keep your accessories stock, and see which customers still owe you money. TV, AC and appliance dealers: see billing software for electronics shops.
Phone bills with the IMEI on the bill
Save each model once in your item list: "Smartphone 8 GB/128 GB", with its HSN code (8517), GST rate and price. When you sell one, pick the model, then add the IMEI to that line's description: "Smartphone 8 GB/128 GB, IMEI 35XXXXXXXXXXX21". The IMEI appears on the customer's bill, and the phone comes off your stock for that model.
What it doesn't do: the app does not keep a list of IMEIs in stock, and you cannot search an IMEI later to find who bought that phone. If you need that, keep your IMEI register as you do now, or use software built for IMEI tracking.
Pick the model from your list before you add the IMEI. If you type a brand-new line with the IMEI in it, the app saves that line to your item list as a new item.
Accessories with stock
Chargers, earphones, covers, screen guards, cables, power banks: save each one with its price, unit (Pcs or Box) and HSN code. Turn on stock and enter what you have. Record your distributor's bill as a purchase and stock goes up; every sale brings it down. Items with fewer than 10 in stock show a "Low stock" label in your item list, so you know which chargers and covers to reorder. It is a label in the list, not a notification.
Repairs as service lines
Save repair work as a service item, such as "Screen replacement (labour)" or "Software repair", with its SAC code and GST rate, and add it to the bill next to any parts you fitted. Service items don't move your stock. Ask your CA which SAC code and rate apply to your repair work. There are no repair job cards or repair status in the app.
Warranty terms and conditions on the bill
Type your terms in the bill's Notes box, for example: "Warranty by the manufacturer as per the warranty card. Physical or liquid damage not covered. Accessories: 7 days replacement for manufacturing defects only." The notes appear on the bill PDF. On the Classic design, which is the default, your notes take the place of the standard declaration line at the bottom of the bill.
Prices are before GST
The rate you enter on a bill is the price before GST, and the app adds the GST. There is no "price includes GST" switch. If your price tag includes GST, work back the price before tax: at 18%, divide by 1.18. A phone tagged ₹16,520 including GST is ₹14,000 before tax, plus ₹2,520 GST. The GST calculator does this for any amount; in Hindi, see GST kaise nikale.
Customers who pay later
A regular customer takes a phone today and pays the rest next week. Every customer has a ledger: every bill, every payment and what is still due. Record payments by cash, UPI, cheque, card or bank transfer, with a reference number and a note. When a finance company pays part of the price, record that as a payment against the customer and note the loan number. BillBabu App does not track EMIs. More on party ledgers and balances.
What BillBabu App doesn't do for mobile shops
- No IMEI-wise stock and no IMEI search. You can type the IMEI on the bill line only.
- No barcode scanning, and no thermal or POS printer.
- No EMI or finance-company tracking.
- No exchange or buy-back. There is no field for an old phone taken in exchange.
- No margin-scheme billing for second-hand phones. The app charges GST on the full price you enter; ask your CA how to bill used phones.
- No repair job cards or repair status.
- No tax-inclusive pricing, no discount column and no MRP field.
- No credit notes or sales returns. See credit and debit notes under GST.
- No staff logins. One account per business. See multi-user billing software.

No offline mode, e-invoice, e-way bill generation, GST return filing, iPhone app, Excel export or staff logins yet.
Mobile shop bill example
Tara Mobile Point, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) bills a walk-in customer in Lucknow who has no GSTIN. Same state, so the GST is split into CGST and SGST. The shop, prices and IMEI are made up.
